StarHub leverages first-party data to connect with their telecom audience

StarHub, a leading Singapore provider of communications, entertainment and digital solutions, faced intense competition and needed to find net-new customers across its mobile, home and business product lines while improving media efficiency. Each product had unique audiences and KPIs, so StarHub sought a partner with internet-scale first‑party data and AI capabilities to deliver measurable outcomes with granular audience insights.

Working with media agency Carat, Quantcast tagged StarHub’s website and products and used StarHub’s DMP to suppress ads to existing customers, targeting only users who hadn’t visited in the past 30 days and combining awareness (video and rich media) with performance solutions. Within six months StarHub achieved major efficiency gains: 81% lower CPA for enterprise business solutions, 57% lower CPA for entertainment and smart life, 38% lower CPA for mobile, and 21% more net‑new customers on average across lines of business.
