Reitmans, a Canadian retail fashion legacy with three brands (Reitmans, Penningtons and RW&CO), sought to drive awareness for its Hyba technical activewear line as shopping habits shifted during COVID-19. The challenge was to reach the desired demographic broadly with low ad frequency while showcasing multiple product styles in a rich, engaging format.
Working with agency Adviso and Quantcast’s Creative Solutions team, Reitmans ran interactive lightbox ads that let users engage without leaving the ad unit—ideal for programmatic environments dominated by standard, non-expandable sizes. The campaign outperformed goals across the board: a 0.25% engagement rate (+139% vs. target), a 37% engaged click-through rate (7x target), a 7.6% interaction rate vs. a 3% benchmark, and 17s average dwell time vs. a 9s benchmark.
