IMVU, the world’s largest avatar-based messaging platform, delivers a VR social experience centered on gaming and 3D chat rooms. Facing an increasingly competitive entertainment landscape, IMVU needed smarter ways to acquire and retain users, monetize them, protect share of voice, and expand advertising beyond the US.
Working with Quantcast (a partner of four-plus years), IMVU ran a series of incrementality tests to isolate campaign impact. The partnership confirmed Quantcast’s contribution to new-user acquisition and retention; campaigns beat CPA goals by 16% and drove a 24% increase in registrations, improved player conversion and lifetime value, and replicated US-level success in recent launches in France and Germany.
