Fastweb, an Italian telecommunications provider of fixed and mobile telephony, broadband and IPTV, faced a sudden collapse of in-person sales when Italy entered nationwide lockdown in March 2020. With stores closed, Fastweb needed to rapidly boost online sales and understand fast-changing consumer behavior to adapt its digital strategy.
Quantcast delivered real-time insights showing a 27.5% drop in average conversion time and a 50%+ increase in first-visit conversions, so campaigns were reweighted toward prospecting and updated with hybrid native display creative. The optimized programmatic approach drove a 16% rise in online sales, 52% of converted customers had seen Quantcast-delivered banner ads, and cost per sale fell 14%.
