SickKids Foundation, the fundraising arm of Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, needed to recruit participants and drive fundraising for the inaugural “Million Reasons Run” during the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign targeted runners, parents, and supporters across 13 children’s hospitals but faced the dual challenge of building awareness and virtual participation from scratch with no prior event data.
Quantcast delivered audience targeting and real-time insights, creating a niche running-interest audience and adding a homepage pixel to capture registration and donor behavior. The campaign drove over 7,000 homepage visits in the first two weeks, more than 600 donation conversions, 400+ run registrations, 8,000 participants in May, and raised $2.2M—129% of the donation goal.
