Auto Trader, the UK’s largest digital marketplace for buying and selling cars, needed to shift from performance-driven display toward an omnichannel brand strategy that included video. They wanted brand media that was measurable, optimizable and iterative to increase consideration among new car buyers, but found traditional research setups slow and lacking actionable insights.
Partnering with Quantcast, Auto Trader used Brand Lift Live to get real-time, granular insights and optimize mid-campaign to users who said they were “very likely” to buy a car online, while using Brand×Demand Attribution to measure impact on sales. The approach drove a 15% lift in consideration among auto intenders and a 50% conversion lift when display performance campaigns were complemented by video.
