Dr.Max Serbia, part of the largest pharmacy chain in Central and Eastern Europe with 147 locations in Serbia, faced inconsistent assortments, no category management system and uncontrolled ordering after merging nine legal entities and more than 120 pharmacies. To standardize assortments, create store-level planograms and improve sales visibility, Dr.Max chose Quant Retail’s space-planning and category-management solution (Quant Web).

Quant Retail implemented a pilot in Q1 2019 (three pharmacies) then rolled the solution out to all stores by the end of 2019, adding people counters, photo documentation, chat for communications and daily automated POS data transfers to create individualized planograms. The project delivered measurable impact: more than a 24% increase in total sales, an 8% uplift in OTC products placed per the planograms, protocol OTC sales rose to over 80% by end‑2019 (reaching 87% later), faster onboarding of new and acquired pharmacies, and improved operational control.
