Standard Chartered Bank, a global emerging‑markets bank with thousands of servers and desktops across more than 50 countries, faced fragmented, ad‑hoc security monitoring and an unclear network topology. Standard Chartered implemented Qualys Enterprise, integrated with its managed service provider (NetSec) and the Finium V event platform, to automate discovery, scanning, remediation and verification. The deployment delivered accurate, scalable global visibility and centralized reporting, enabling faster remediation, better coordination with operations and vendors, improved compliance reporting, and quicker containment of incidents such as a later SQL Slammer infection.
