MHR Gives a Further Boost to Its Security Processes to Tackle Growing Online Risk

MHR, a UK-based HR, talent management and payroll provider supporting around 3 million employees, needed to protect highly sensitive client data across its cloud-hosted services and meet strict regulatory and client audit requirements. With rising cyber threats—SQL injection, phishing, malware and more—the company sought a way to continuously identify, prioritise and remediate vulnerabilities across its network and web applications.

MHR deployed the Qualys Cloud Platform (including Vulnerability Management and Web Application Scanning) to gain a single, central view of security, run automated weekly scans and produce CVSS-ranked reports for targeted remediation. Initial scans found over 80% of known vulnerabilities, edge devices are now covered, response times improved (notably during Heartbleed), and the program supported faster, more secure application releases and attainment of Cyber Essentials—boosting overall security posture and client confidence.
