Children's Mercy Kansas City protects sensitive patient data from serious cyber threats

Children's Mercy Kansas City needed better visibility and faster remediation to protect sensitive patient data from cyber threats. With increasing volumes of vulnerability data and a need to prioritize risk more effectively, the hospital turned to Qualys VMDR and Cloud Agents to improve scanning, asset insight, and threat management.

Qualys implemented VMDR with integrated asset discovery, vulnerability management, and prioritization, plus Web Application Scanning and Global AssetView. As a result, Children's Mercy pushed agents to 13,000 endpoints and servers, scanned more than 50 web apps, reduced active vulnerabilities by 85% in 18 months, and sped up zero-day response, including remediating a Microsoft Exchange vulnerability in just three days.
