AP+ Protects Australia’s Mission-Critical Payments Infrastructure

Australian Payments Plus (AP+) needed to secure a much larger, more complex environment after a merger, with more than 2,000 cloud and on-premises assets to monitor. The team wanted better visibility across inherited systems, more frequent vulnerability scanning than quarterly checks, and stronger compliance with Australian security requirements, so it turned to Qualys VMDR and Cloud Agents.

Qualys implemented VMDR with TruRisk and TotalCloud to continuously discover assets, prioritize vulnerabilities, remove end-of-life software, and improve cloud and on-premises governance. The results included weekly scanning across the full estate, faster remediation of high- and medium-severity issues, and automation that saves AP+ several weeks a year in manual work while helping a lean team protect thousands of assets and maintain a high security maturity level.
