Case Study: CST Pharma achieves GDP compliance and streamlined quality management with Qualsys EQMS

Electronically managed Good Distribution Practice for the UK's largest international pharmaceutical wholesaler.

CST Pharma, the UK’s largest international wholesaler and distributor of pharmaceutical and medicinal products, needed a more coordinated way to embed Good Distribution Practice (GDP) across its quality operations. Working with Qualsys, the company was looking to replace spreadsheet- and paper-based processes with a single, reliable system for managing documentation, training, issues, risks, audits, and equipment.

Qualsys implemented EQMS modules at CST Pharma in 2019, creating a centralized source of truth and workflow for compliance activities. The solution improved control over GDP processes, supported complaint/return/recall management, and added prompts and reminders for ongoing compliance; CST Pharma also reported that the system helped eliminate spreadsheets and paper-based tracking and laid the foundation for further audit and supplier/customer management in phase two.
