Major Canadian Bank, a large Canadian financial institution with more than $500 billion in assets, 45,000 employees, and 900 branches, needed to improve customer loyalty by accelerating delivery of its new digital consumption platform. The bank’s application engineering and network services teams were struggling with manual software validation, slow test cycles, and lengthy handoffs in building test environments, all while workloads increased and resources remained flat. Quali, using its CloudShell self-service labs platform, was selected to help address these challenges.

Quali implemented CloudShell with web-based blueprint modeling, a self-service blueprint catalog, automated resource reservation, and deep integration with test tools and frameworks to support dev/test labs and R&D centers. The solution helped the bank standardize testing, improve collaboration, and better use both physical and virtual resources. The expected impact included reducing new release timelines by at least 30% from the start of implementation, decreasing network downtime, and improving quality by more accurately replicating production environments.
