Bowman Distribution, a business unit of Barnes Group, needed a more efficient way to handle time-sensitive business documents as it served thousands of customers across North America and Europe. The company was looking to control costs and improve productivity in its MRO operations, including its offices in Wiltshire, UK.

Quadrant Software provided FastFax/Blue, which integrates with Bowman Distribution’s System21 (GEAC) ERP system. The solution reduced manual faxing and helped staff avoid bottlenecks at the fax machine and extra mailing steps; Bowman sends about 115 purchase orders per week, about 500 invoices per month, and most general correspondence through FastFax. Bowman also said it had only used part of the product’s capabilities and had recently added it to its PC desktop environment.
