Republic Indemnity Improves Security and Eliminates On-Site Hardware with QuadraDocV

Republic Indemnity, a workers’ compensation insurance organization, used Quadrant Software’s FastFax to distribute policy agreements by fax. After an external security scan found vulnerabilities in its unsupported Windows 2003 server connected to IBM i, the company needed to upgrade without disrupting production and had to decide whether to keep analogue lines or move to VoIP, and whether to stay on a physical server or switch to a virtual machine.

Quadrant Software’s professional services team helped Republic Indemnity plan the upgrade, create a VM environment, and integrate it with IBM i while keeping analogue lines. The company moved to QuadraDocV with development, production, and disaster recovery environments for testing, and the upgrade caused no downtime. Republic Indemnity said the system runs like the physical box it replaced, eliminates the need to maintain on-site hardware, and saves at least 10 minutes per document sent.
