Telenav detects 5 to 10 regressions a week with Qt

Telenav, a leading provider of connected car and location-based platform services, needed to automate testing for its Qt-based automotive navigation system. Their challenge was to ensure the quality of an embedded HMI that runs on multiple platforms, including QNX and Windows.

Using Qt's Squish GUI Tester, Telenav's engineers created over 800 automated tests that are run nightly. The solution from Qt enabled them to detect up to five to ten regressions per week. The team also highlighted the ease of writing and debugging tests, the ability to port tests across different platforms without changes, and the value of the Pick Object tool for navigation.
