Qt Provides Cross-Platform Advantage for Xycron Ltd, Korea

Xycron Ltd., a Korean provider of computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) solutions for PCB manufacturers, needed a cross-platform development environment to build the same product for both Windows and Linux. The team also faced the challenge of delivering high-performance, localized software with flexible GUI development and support for multiple data models and widgets.

Xycron chose Qt to address these needs, using Qt Widgets, Qt Concurrent, MVC, and Qt Linguist for translation and localization. With Qt, the company simplified development processes, improved communication between UI components, and saved development time after spending about six months evaluating the platform and then roughly 2.5 years building the solution. Qt also helped Xycron deliver quality services, and the company plans to continue using and promoting Qt in Korea and Japan.
