A Qt Case Study
Ulstein, a maritime company focused on ship design, shipbuilding, and power and control systems, needed a more flexible, modular, and user-friendly automation system for modern vessel operations. They were looking to improve ship automation, handle large amounts of data at high speed, and support safer monitoring and control across multiple devices and platforms.
Using Qt and Qt Professional Services, Ulstein built its next-generation ship automation and HMI solution with Qt Quick’s declarative UI design language and cross-platform capabilities. Qt helped Ulstein cut development time from 100+ hours to 50 hours by enabling developers and customers to work on the same UI, while also delivering a scalable architecture for future automation and more autonomous systems.
