IPO.Plan Develops Award-Winning 4D Planning & Visualization Tool

IPO.Plan, a provider of factory and production planning consultancy for companies like Daimler, BMW, VW, and Siemens, needed a way to go beyond off-the-shelf tools for visualizing worker paths, material placement, and production-line processes. The company turned to Qt to build IPO.Log, a 4D planning and visualization tool that could support complex industrial production planning and simulation.

Using Qt, IPO.Plan developed the application entirely in C++, with the data model and GUI built from Qt elements. Qt’s cross-platform capabilities, GUI frameworks, and documentation helped the team create models and interfaces that would have been difficult with other solutions, while also saving hours of development time and improving overall efficiency.
