Enabling the Touch-Control User Interface for Lytro’s New Light Field Cameras
Lytro, the light-field camera company behind the Lytro Cinema and Lytro Immerge, needed a fast way to build touch-based user interfaces for two different camera systems with distinct use cases and requirements. Working with Qt, Lytro wanted a cross-platform framework that could support rapid development while delivering a strong user experience on standalone touchscreen tablets.
Qt provided its cross-platform UI framework, including QML, to help Lytro quickly create responsive touchscreen controls for operating the cameras and adjusting images on the fly. The result was a flexible, touch-enabled interface that let Lytro streamline setup and image adjustments, helping the company bring a more advanced user experience to its light-field camera systems.
