Qstream Microlearning Solution Selected by Concussion Legacy Foundation to Support CLF Media Project

Qstream partnered with the Concussion Legacy Foundation (CLF) to support the CLF Media Project, which addresses a gap in journalists’ and journalism students’ ability to recognize, report and follow proper concussion protocols. The challenge was to train busy media professionals and students nationwide to use correct concussion terminology, apply medical management protocols during live coverage, and ultimately improve public understanding to protect athletes’ health.

Qstream’s best-practice microlearning solution was deployed alongside the CLF Media Toolkit, a Concussion Reporting Certificate, and three-hour Concussion Reporting Workshops (piloted at Northwestern, Syracuse and Boston University) with pre- and post-workshop reinforcement. The program is designed to boost knowledge retention, critical thinking and on-air recall so reporters can accurately inform parents, coaches and athletes and help reduce undiagnosed concussions.
