Rogers Drug Store, a community pharmacy in Modesto, CA founded in 1922 and owned by Ben Prasad, faced the challenge of reinventing itself as the role of pharmacy expanded beyond retail dispensing to specialty services, patient education and enhanced transitional care. To support that shift and manage growing clinical and operational complexity, Rogers Drug Store relied on QS/1, using QS/1 Pharmacy Management Systems and later adding automation with an RxMedic® pharmacy robot.

QS/1’s systems have supported Rogers Drug Store since 1985, enabling the pharmacy to transition to a specialty/education model, collaborate with the University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy, and earn recognition from ACHC and AADE. With QS/1 technology and the RxMedic robot, Rogers expanded services—becoming Modesto’s only custom fitter for mastectomy and lymphedema patients, hosting an annual free Neighborhood Health Fair, and sustaining operational efficiency and community impact as the business continues to grow.
