State-wide Paratransit Scheduling System for 5311 & 5310 programs in Georgia

The Georgia Department of Transportation needed a state-wide paratransit scheduling solution for its 5311 and 5310 programs serving 120 counties, managing ambulatory, wheelchair and stretcher clients across 8.4k square miles. Facing under‑optimized routes, multiple remote offices, fragmented scheduling/dispatch and file‑upload processes, plus complex multi‑source billing delays, GDOT engaged QRyde to modernize operations using its Scheduling and Dispatching system and Integrated Transportation Management System (ITMS).

QRyde implemented an ADA‑compliant ITMS with plug‑and‑play Dispatch, Scheduling and Reporting modules and its Global Scheduling Engine (GSE), plus a file‑upload process to integrate DHS and LogistiCare trips and detect recurring trips. The deployment consolidated reporting and dashboards for GDOT, simplified and automated billing across funding sources, rolled out a statewide rider app, and optimized scheduling across multiple offices — enabling 65,000 rides for 2,350 riders from January–March 2020 and materially reducing administrative time for sub‑recipients.
