Spartan Public Transportation, serving the South Plains Rural Transit District across 17 Texas counties, needed a more efficient way to manage its 30-vehicle microtransit and demand response operation, which was handling about 500 trips per day. The team had been scheduling trips manually and wanted to improve routing, reduce unscheduled rides, and better support curb-to-curb and door-to-door service for riders with disabilities and older adults. QRyde was brought in to help streamline the process with its scheduling and dispatch tools.

QRyde implemented its Global Scheduling Engine (GSE) and Dispatch 360 to handle next-day trip scheduling, will-call requests, and day-of trip assignments, along with smart re-optimization and graphical dispatching. The results were strong: Spartan reported less overtime, more trips completed with fewer resources, improved pickup and drop-off accuracy, and a faster 2.5-month deployment. According to Spartan, QRyde helped cut overtime by $5,000–$6,000 per pay period while also improving rider and staff satisfaction.
