A QRyde Case Study
SoNCVet (South‑western NC One‑Call One‑Click Center for Veterans Transportation) needed a way to coordinate “no boundaries” demand‑response rides across western North Carolina while coping with rising operating costs, shrinking funds, very long medical trips (300–500 miles one‑way), limited access to employment, and long passenger wait times. To address these challenges they partnered with QRyde and implemented QRyde’s ride‑coordination software.
QRyde enabled pre‑arranged transfer points and cross‑county notifications so offered trips move from booking systems to a shared trip board where providers can view and accept them; accepted trips are automatically split by provider, updated in the booking system, and retained for simplified billing. By using QRyde, SoNCVet improved long‑distance coordination across agencies, streamlined scheduling and billing, and reduced administrative burden and passenger wait times.
