Banco Espirito Santo (BES), a major financial institution in Portugal, faced the challenge of consolidating its process information, which was previously scattered across several different systems and departments. They needed a single, integrated process repository to support internal controls, auditing, and risk management. To address this, they partnered with vendor QPR Software and implemented the QPR ProcessDesigner performance management software.

The solution from QPR Software involved creating a unified Process Catalog that combined the needs of six key departments. This allowed BES to migrate 32 functional areas, 900 processes, and 350 users into the new system within just two months. The project achieved compliance with COSO and ITIL frameworks and was successfully rolled out to other companies within the group, providing a single source of truth for process management and reporting.
