ProRail, the Dutch rail network operator serving more than a million passengers a day, needed a way to optimize operations, reduce downtime from incidents, and improve safety in crisis situations. Qognify’s Situator incident management platform was selected to help ProRail handle thousands of rail incidents more effectively and support faster, more coordinated response across its operations.
Qognify partnered with Geodan to implement an integrated Situator/Spoorweb solution that centralized incident management and real-time information sharing in one command control room. The results were significant: ProRail reduced incident intake time by over 60%, from 14 minutes to 4 minutes, cut response times, and decreased operational downtime while improving situational awareness and stakeholder notifications.
