A Qnect Case Study
The customer, global engineering firm WSP, faced the challenge of engineering and constructing the complex, 65-floor 66 Hudson Boulevard skyscraper in New York City efficiently. This required managing over 10,000 steel connections and numerous design revisions without causing significant schedule delays. To meet the demanding timeline, WSP partnered with vendor Qnect.
Qnect's proprietary optimization software was implemented to automate and streamline the connection design process. This solution allowed WSP to make revisions quickly and with confidence, saving an estimated 144 person-weeks of labor. The use of Qnect sped up the creation of shop drawings for the fabricators and was instrumental in helping the team deliver the landmark project on schedule.
