How Qmarkets Partnered with NHS to Create the Most Sophisticated Healthcare Innovation Exchange Platform in the UK

The West Midlands Academic Health Science Network worked to improve health and wealth across the West Midlands while supporting collaboration between academia, industry, and the NHS. It needed a better way to manage innovation across a large, complex healthcare system and to identify ideas that could be adopted in practice.

With Qmarkets, the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network launched Meridian, an online health innovation exchange for submitting, reviewing, and implementing ideas from patients, staff, industry, and academics. The platform has led to 24 innovations approved, 13 implemented, two more under evaluation, and 623 active users, while also helping generate potential collaboration and funding.
