How Israel’s Oldest Bank Is Engaging Employees to Become a Leader in Banking Innovation

Bank Leumi, Israel’s oldest bank, wanted to make innovation a core strategic priority and embed it into everyday work across its 10,000-person workforce. To support this cultural shift, the bank needed an innovation management platform that could help it gather ideas from employees, improve internal communication, and turn frontline insight into actionable innovation.

Qmarkets provided its enterprise-grade Q-max software to power Leumi’s company-wide idea management program, including a custom workflow, an “Innovation Library,” and the ability for employees to submit both ideas and challenges. After a pilot with 500 participants and 370 partners produced 7–8 ideas that reached implementation, Bank Leumi rolled out the system bank-wide in November 2016, driving 5,500 first-time logins at launch and sustaining hundreds of daily logins through ongoing campaigns.
