SickKids uses Qlucore to analyze 1,200+ families in childhood cancer epigenetics research

The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) is studying the genetic mechanisms of childhood cancer susceptibility. An MD/PhD candidate at SickKids was conducting epigenetics research on Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, which required analyzing a variety of complex and large genomic datasets. To meet this challenge, the researcher employed Qlucore Omics Explorer.

Using Qlucore's software, the researcher was able to perform genome-wide differential methylation analyses and validate statistical findings. The solution provided excellent visualization tools, such as heat maps, to depict the data clearly. This was particularly beneficial for users without extensive computational biology experience, enabling essential analysis of genome-scale data for their epigenetics research.
