UWV’s Qlikview Competence Center Builds More Than 50 Applications In Just 2 Years And Provides 1,650 People With Reporting & Analysis Capabilities

UWV is the Dutch government agency that manages employee insurances and labor-market services for over seven million people, with about 16,500 FTEs across 190 locations. Facing a growing volume of manually produced, quickly outdated paper reports, UWV needed fast, user-friendly, 24/7 dashboards that let managers slice, dice and drill into personnel, procurement and financial data with a much shorter time-to-market.

UWV adopted QlikView and set up a centralized QlikView Competence Center to build and govern BI applications. In 1.5–2 years the team delivered roughly 45–50 applications (proofs of concept in ~5 days, prototypes in 3–4 weeks), expanding to 1,650 users and cutting data-collection time by about 80%. Standardized processes, shared knowledge and faster delivery produced significant cost savings and made the QCC a reference model for other organizations.
