University of Worcester embeds Qlik Academic Program into Data-Driven Decisions module

The University of Worcester, a UK university with over 10,700 students, faced the wider industry challenge of a growing data analytics skills gap and needed to give students practical, marketable experience within its Data‑Driven Decisions module. The goal was to help students understand data analysis and visualization so they could meet employer demand for data‑literate graduates.

Worcester embedded the Qlik Academic Program—providing cloud‑hosted Qlik Sense software and the Qlik Continuous Classroom—into the module, enabling hands‑on projects, online training and industry certifications. The initiative supported remote learning during COVID‑19, attracted 83 students in the first three months, raised module satisfaction to 80% (from 66.6%), and improved student confidence and employability by giving access to industry‑leading analytics tools and best practices.
