A Qlik Case Study
United Overseas Bank (UOB) wanted to make data analytics central to its operations but faced a fragmented, manual approach to data discovery—one-dimensional reports, slow Excel-based analysis, and uneven data literacy and governance across business units. The bank’s Big Data Analytics Centre set out to renew its analytics platform and build a culture of data-driven decision-making under the EDAG (Enterprise Data Architecture and Governance) programme.
UOB partnered with Qlik to deliver a customized, intuitive self-service dashboard and ran targeted proof-of-concepts alongside an enterprise-wide data literacy and governance training campaign using real internal datasets. The initiative moved EDAG from pilot to enterprise-wide adoption, trained over 350 employees in Singapore (with regional rollouts planned), empowered business units to generate faster, actionable insights, and set the stage for future AI/ML initiatives.
