Unicer Refreshes Their Business Information With QlikView

Unicer, the largest beverages company in Portugal with about 1,500 employees and operations across beer, bottled water, soft drinks, wines and malting, needed faster, more intuitive and centrally available business information. The company’s BI goals were to improve performance in obtaining key indicators, enable intuitive data visualization and make KPIs accessible anywhere, for multiple functions including finance, supply chain, sales, HR and top management.

Unicer implemented QlikView (including QlikView for SAP), rolling out 16 applications to around 200 users in under 10 months and integrating SAP and other systems. The platform now covers nearly all business areas and delivers uniform concepts, greater transparency and faster access to KPIs—achieving up to 80% time savings in Supply Chain, 50% in Purchasing and 40% in Sales—while giving top and middle management daily, autonomous visibility into performance.
