Tangerine gains insights from customer data thanks to Qlik (fomerly Attunity) and Microsoft

Tangerine, a Canadian direct bank with nearly two million clients and about $38 billion in assets, sought to become a more full‑service digital bank. As competition and customer expectations rose, the bank needed a responsive customer experience and a better way to leverage not just financial records but feedback, complaint logs, and social sentiment—while also reducing the time it took to move and analyze growing volumes of data.

Tangerine deployed Microsoft Analytics Platform System (APS) together with Attunity Replicate (now Qlik) and moved BI users to a Microsoft analytics stack (Excel, SQL Server Analysis Services, Power BI, SharePoint). The turnkey solution accelerated data delivery and centralized sentiment and transactional data, giving employees instant access to usable BI, enabling real‑time adjustments to product rollouts and campaigns, and supporting self‑service drill‑down for faster, insight‑driven decisions.
