Subaru Italia Drives Sales With QlikView

Subaru Italia, the Italian arm of Fuji Heavy Industries and official importer for Italy, Slovenia and Croatia, faced growing pains with its legacy OLAP reporting tools. With about 50 employees, a network of 72 dealers and 150 garages, the company needed a simpler, more flexible and faster BI platform to manage vehicle orders, dealer performance, parts inventory, credit/invoicing and sales reporting as data volumes and business complexity increased.

Subaru implemented QlikView for 40 users across management, sales and distribution in just weeks, using its in-memory associative engine and QlikView Server/Publisher to deliver real-time, interactive dashboards. The rollout—largely handled in-house—improved visibility into sales and distribution, buyer and dealer performance, parts availability and after-sales warranty management, reduced IT development time, enabled minute-level reporting and has been extended to additional departments.
