Case Study: SEGA achieves automated, deep-dive mobile game analytics with Qlik Sense

A Qlik Case Study

Preview of the SEGA Case Study

SEGA enables deep-dive analysis and slick, responsive game management

SEGA, a six-decade gaming giant, faced growing challenges as its surge in mobile titles produced scattered, siloed data and an increasing volume of ad-hoc analysis requests. Analysts were burdened with manual Excel/PPT reporting and needed a way to standardize aggregation, perform deep cluster analysis of user behavior, and make faster, data-driven decisions for each title.

SEGA deployed Qlik Sense (and Qlik NPrinting) to integrate disparate sources, automate routine reporting and dashboards, and use associative technology for user-cluster modeling. The platform now auto-generates about 450 reports, saving roughly a month of man-hours per title, links social and ad data for richer insights, enabled concrete fixes (e.g., adjusting difficulty to reduce drop-offs), democratized access to data, and expanded analytic use across the company.
