Case Study: SEB achieves increased cross-selling and revenue with Qlik

A Qlik Case Study

Preview of the SEB Case Study

SEB - Customer Case Study

SEB Group, a North European financial services firm headquartered in Stockholm with roughly 20,000 employees, ~300 billion in assets and operations across merchant banking, retail banking, wealth management and life insurance, serves 400,000 corporate and 5 million private customers. Facing the need to better understand insurance customers and product portfolios to boost cross‑selling and wallet share — and to improve IT project management in merchant banking — SEB sought faster, clearer analytics.

SEB deployed QlikView to about 150 users across Life Insurance, Pension Funds and Merchant Banking in Sweden, Germany and the Baltic countries, delivering sales and marketing apps for salesperson/team/region analysis, customer-portfolio segmentation and target-list creation, plus an IT project dashboard. Implemented in under three weeks and leveraging QlikView Server to aggregate IBM DB2 data, the solution uncovered cross‑selling opportunities, expanded customer portfolios to increase revenue and improved IT project management.
