Case Study: SEAT S.A. achieves faster, data-driven production planning with Qlik Sense (Qlik)

A Qlik Case Study

Preview of the SEAT S.A. Case Study

SEAT S.A. improves production with Qlik

SEAT S.A., the Spanish carmaker in the Volkswagen Group with three production centers and over 14,000 employees, faced the challenge of capturing and making sense of huge volumes of manufacturing data spread across multiple systems. The production planning and control team needed to unify disparate data sources, eliminate manual reporting processes that took days or weeks, and gain specific, actionable insights to improve planning, quality and logistics.

Working with integrator Mercanza, SEAT implemented Qlik Sense via a proof-of-concept and gradual rollout, giving users self-service analytics and integrated views of production, logistics and quality data. The solution cut analysis and reporting times to under 24 hours, improved decision-making and departmental autonomy, enabled rapid crisis response (e.g., semiconductor shortages during COVID-19) with automated real-time reports, and laid a foundation for further digitalization like cloud integration.
