Salto Systems, a Spanish manufacturer of electronic access control fitted to 700,000 doors in 70+ countries, needed a single, easy-to-use balanced scorecard to unify sales, finance, quality control and after-sales reporting because its ERP could not provide the required visibility. With a 95‑person HQ and a global sales force, managers sought a tool that would deliver consistent, fast metrics across business units.
Salto implemented QlikView (integrating SQL Server data) to consolidate 5 million records and give senior management and sales teams rapid access to sales, orders, margins and invoicing data. The result was faster, more accurate customer and business-entity analysis, simplified daily workflows for sales, finance and quality teams, and improved decision-making—turning QlikView into a strategic BI success for the company.
