Royal Jordanian Airlines Uses Qlikview To Analyze Route Profitability Fast

Royal Jordanian Airlines, the Amman-based flag carrier operating flights across four continents, faced mounting difficulty analyzing growing volumes of operational data stored in Oracle and scattered across Excel spreadsheets. Aggregating and processing static reports took nearly a month, leaving finance and operations without timely route- and cost-level insights; the airline needed a cost-effective, self-service business discovery solution to speed analysis and decision making.

Working with Synapse Technologies, Royal Jordanian deployed QlikView—starting with a route-profitability proof of concept—and delivered a production app in three months. QlikView provided near–real-time analysis, cut time to data visibility, enabled self-service reporting, reduced processing errors and improved productivity, and is now being extended from finance into budgeting, cargo sales and commercial operations.
