Redefining Processes to Create a Self-Service Data Buffet at VodafoneZiggo

VodafoneZiggo, a joint venture of Vodafone Group and Liberty Global serving millions of customers in the Netherlands, set out to fully digitize and overhaul its Business Intelligence operation to meet changing customer expectations and the demands of a more agile, data-driven world. The company relied on about 1,000 static reports that were often out of date and unintuitive, slowing decisions and limiting staff adoption of analytics.

VodafoneZiggo implemented Qlik to build near real-time, self-service dashboards, redefined BI roles around a central decisioning engine with adaptive learning, and used sprint-based delivery, design thinking, targeted training and internal champions to drive change. Adoption jumped from 800 active users to 2,242 in 2020 (a 280% increase) with a larger rollout planned, creating faster responses, embedded analytics for sales and customers, and a continuous feedback loop that sharpens models and improves data-driven decision making.
