Estrella, one of Sweden’s largest snack-food producers, was spun out of Kraft Food in 2008 and faced an urgent six-month deadline to rebuild its IT and reporting capabilities. With minimal management and administrative staff and new owners in Norway needing tight oversight, the company required fast, reliable decision support but could not deploy a large ERP like SAP within the timeframe.

Estrella implemented Lawson M3 as a lightweight ERP and deployed QlikView integrated with M3 in just five days to deliver visual, company-wide reporting for production, sales and finance. The solution centralized data definitions, accelerated decision-making, and drove rapid adoption—users grew from roughly 10 to 60 in six months—providing quick time-to-value and stronger operational control.
