Case Study: Generali achieves sub-10-second source-to-target data replication with Qlik Replicate

A Qlik Case Study

Preview of the Generali Case Study

Real-time data streaming using Qlik solutions reduced source to target time to under 10 seconds

Generali Switzerland, the Swiss arm of global insurer Generali (operating in 50 countries with over 57 million customers), faced a two-speed IT landscape where legacy core systems lacked agility while newer customer-facing channels demanded real-time data. Charged with an IT turnaround, the team needed to modernize data architecture to deliver accurate, up-to-date information across channels, simplify integration, and improve development efficiency.

They built the cloud-first Connection Platform (CoPa) using Qlik Replicate (CDC) and Confluent (Kafka) to stream changes from core systems (monitoring ~60 tables) into a normalized integration layer and target applications like Salesforce. The solution enabled non-disruptive, real-time replication—cutting source-to-target time to under 10 seconds—creating a single version of the truth, improving customer service, and supporting faster, agile development and partner integration.
