Real-time data enables smart inventory management with Replicate + Qlik Compose

NEC Personal Computer Corporation (NECPC), part of the NEC Lenovo Japan Group and a leading PC provider in Japan, needed to eliminate delays and data silos that hindered finance, material planning and company-wide decision-making. The company was relying on daily batch exports from SAP and widespread Excel workarounds, so NECPC set out to accelerate access to SAP data, improve timeliness and accuracy, and create a true analytics platform usable across business units.

By deploying Qlik Replicate and Qlik Compose to stream SAP data into Qlik Sense in real time, NECPC completed the rollout ahead of schedule and replaced manual reporting processes with shared dashboards. The new platform cut excess inventory risk by 30%, saved about 160 man‑hours per business unit per year, improved situational decision-making, smoothed workflows and boosted data literacy and cross-department collaboration.
