Philips Healthcare’s Business Innovation Unit Interventional X‑Ray (BIU iXR) — part of the Imaging Systems group working on minimally invasive X‑ray R&D — struggled with manual, Excel‑based project reporting that consumed staff time, produced quality issues and lacked analytics, drilldowns and personalized views. The team needed an easy‑to‑maintain, automated solution that would give timely, uniform insight into cost, risk, quality and progress across R&D projects.

After a proof‑of‑concept the team selected QlikView and launched the iXR Project Navigator, rolling out 20+ QlikView apps used by over 100 employees. The platform created a single source of truth tied to the iXR data warehouse, improved data quality, saved about 1 FTE, enabled quicker intervention on negative trends and delivered faster, more informed decision‑making with personalized drilldowns and standardized KPIs.
