PT. Kapal Api Global, an Indonesian FMCG manufacturer and distributor best known for its Kapal Api coffee brand with a footprint of over 500,000 stores, needed clearer visibility into distribution and manufacturing to support growth. Their analytics struggled with massive data volumes (about 1.5 billion records/200 million rows), and conventional BI tools required 2–3 weeks to prepare reports, slowing decision-making.
The company deployed QlikView to 65 users in under seven weeks, avoiding a bespoke data warehouse and enabling interactive dashboards that generate nationwide reports in under 20 seconds and regional/branch reports in about 2 seconds. The faster, centrally accessed BI shortened reporting lead times, delivered granular sales and operational insights, and paved the way to expand analytics across manufacturing and retail and scale to 500+ users.
