Optimera Svenska AB, a leading distributor of building materials in southern Sweden with 14 stores and 420 employees (and plans to double), needed better insight into customers, sales and margins to improve service and grow market share. The company sought a flexible, easy-to-use analytics tool to track sales trends, inventory and customer activity and to share up-to-date reports for faster decision making.
Optimera deployed QlikView to about 100 users across sales, service, supply chain and finance, enabling self-service analysis and intranet reporting. Within a year the company reduced inventory value by €1.3 million, cut call-center queues by 33% (halving missed calls), improved responsiveness and sales analysis, and achieved stronger control and market competitiveness with low ongoing development costs.
