Globus is a family-owned hypermarket chain with stores in Germany, the Czech Republic and Russia (15 in the Czech Republic). The company struggled with a growing flood of sales, returns and margin data that lived in multiple systems and static Excel reports; reporting was slow, inconsistent and required manual consolidation, so key analyses and campaign insight often took hours or were unavailable.
Globus piloted and then rapidly deployed QlikView with partner KOMIX, creating a prototype in under three days and rolling out the platform across HQ and stores within two months with brief developer/designer training. By consolidating Oracle, MS SQL and Excel sources into an in-memory, browser-accessible BI layer, analysis time fell from hours to minutes, all users now work from the same real-time data, and a suite of apps (promotions, ABC assortment, stock and supplier sales) continues to support decision-making with ongoing partner support.
